For schools

Each person does their part. The school keeps one record.

Everyone signs in with their own Mwangazza account and sees the work their role needs. A school connects a member of staff by sending a request, and access starts only when they accept.

Who does what

Head teacher

Sees the whole school and makes the decisions that change the record.

  • Checks each morning which registers are still open and who is absent.
  • Reviews charges the accountant prepares, and issues them.
  • Publishes exam results once every marksheet is in.
  • Publishes the timetable, and opens and closes the school year.

Accountant

Keeps the money record the school can stand behind.

  • Prepares charges for the whole school, a grade, a section or named students.
  • Records the payments the school receives and issues receipts.
  • Follows up overdue accounts and prepares student account statements.

Teachers

Do the daily classroom work, and see only what is theirs.

  • Take the register for their classes.
  • Enter marks on the marksheets for the subjects they teach.
  • See their own teaching timetable.

The person who starts the school is its owner. They set it up and choose its plan, alongside whichever role they hold.

Through the year

Every part of the work reads from the same school year.

  1. Set up

Register the school and prepare its calendar, grades, and subjects and combinations. Then add staff and students.

  2. Run the year

Registers, marks, charges, payments and the timetable all read from the same school year.

  3. Close and carry forward

Close the year deliberately. Its history stays, and the next year starts from a known plan.
